Graduate from  the prestigious  national film school IDHEC, he gets off to an early start directing many short films .

1982 – LA FACE PERDUE (short film) adapted from Jack London’s short novel. Grand prix of the Albi Film Festival. 

1985 – LE BRASIER (short film) awarded the Victor Hugo Grand Prix which allows  him to direct his first feature film.
